MEZZOGIORNO WINES is dedicated to searching the endless array of Italian and Portuguese wines--these countries each boast hundreds of different grape varieties--and bring to the Minnesota market the best examples of both their most iconic wine styles, as well as the little-known regional gems. At the same time, I will emphasize small producers employing sustainable and organic winemaking methods with limited intervention in the cellar; owner-operated wineries from which each bottle represents a dream realized and a tradition continued.
In addition to focusing on wineries that are doing things the right way, I would like for Mezzogiorno Wines to make its own impact! To that end, I pledge to donate 10% of the company's annual profits (i.e. my salary) to non-profit organizations in Minnesota, Italy, and Portugal.
