Quinta do Pôpa

Stéphane and Vanessa Ferreira helm the operations at Quinta do Pôpa, the Douro winery that their grandfather first dreamed of and that their father, José Ferreira, founded.

In early 2021, Carlos Raposo joined Quinta do Pôpa as Head Winemaker.  Carlos had previously received degrees in viticulture and oenology in Burgundy and Bordeaux, before returning to Portugal to work under renowned winemaker Dirk Niepoort for seven years.  It is Carlos' goal to create authentic, unique wines as pure and as natural as possible.
